15 Years of The Beauty Spot

August has been a big one at The Beauty Spot.

It’s been one of those months that has made us stop and reflect on how far we’ve come, while at the same time feeling incredibly excited about where we’re heading next.

There have been celebrations, new technology, plenty of learning, a trip to Sydney and, most importantly, a beautiful reminder of why we still love what we do after all these years.

Welcoming PhotonX

One of the biggest moments for us this month was welcoming our newest device, PhotonX, into the salon.

As our knowledge of skin continues to grow, we want the technology we use to grow with us. PhotonX allows us to step even further into advanced skin transformations and create more customised treatment journeys for our clients.

From pigmentation and vascular concerns to acne, rejuvenation and hair reduction, this technology gives our therapists another incredible tool to work with when creating a plan for your individual skin.

For us, bringing in a new device is never about simply having the latest technology. It has to add something meaningful to the results we can achieve.

PhotonX does exactly that.

We’ve spent time training, learning and understanding how to incorporate it into our existing treatment plans, and we’re so excited to see what we can achieve with it over the coming months.

A Weekend Surrounded by Our Industry

We also travelled to Sydney for Beauty Expo Australia, where we had the opportunity to learn, connect with brands and listen to some incredible industry leaders.

Education has always been such an important part of The Beauty Spot. No matter how long you’ve been in business, there is always something new to learn - a different perspective, a better conversation to have with a client or a new way to elevate the experience we provide.

While in Sydney, we also attended the Australian Beauty Industry Awards, where The Beauty Spot was incredibly proud to be a finalist.

We didn’t bring home the award this year, but sometimes the experience itself is the win.

Sitting in a room surrounded by people who have dedicated so much of themselves to this industry was really special. Listening to the heartfelt speeches throughout the evening was a beautiful reminder of how much this industry means to so many of us.

It’s about so much more than skin, beauty and treatments. It’s about people. Connection. Confidence. Careers. Teams. Clients who trust us with their stories and their skin.

It reminded me exactly why I fell in love with this industry in the first place.

And Then We Turned 15…

Perhaps the biggest milestone of all - The Beauty Spot turned 15.

Fifteen years.

It’s hard to put into words what that really means.

When you spend 15 years building a small business, you become many things to many people. A leader, a teacher, a confidant, a problem solver, a cheerleader and sometimes the person who has to make the hard decisions too.

There have been seasons of huge growth, seasons of challenge, incredible team members, thousands of beautiful clients, lessons I could never have learnt from a textbook and more memories than I could ever count.

The business has changed enormously over those 15 years.

And so have I.

One thing that hasn’t changed is our desire to create a place where people feel cared for, where our team can grow and where our clients know that we genuinely want the very best for them.

To every client who has walked through our doors, recommended us to a friend, purchased a product, booked another appointment, sent us a message or simply supported us from afar - thank you.

You are part of these 15 years too.

Looking Towards Spring

And now, after such a full August, we’re ready for what comes next.

The days are starting to get a little longer, warmer weather is on its way and there is something about this time of year that always feels like a fresh start.

We have so much happening inside The Beauty Spot - new technology, continued education,

beautiful treatment journeys and a team that is continuing to learn and evolve.

Fifteen years in, we’re certainly not finished growing. In many ways, it feels like we’re just getting started on our next chapter. Here’s to spring, beautiful skin, new possibilities and everything still to come.
